Hey Broc, I could not figure it out and I see you used the words dump station more than you used RV dump. We I am from we call it a dump station and more details and a better topic would have gotten better info quicker. Junk in, junk out.

If they had to be told where SW road was, it's highly doubtful they'd know anything about the Shell station dump anyway.

I have been following this furball since day one.
I am certainly glad I stayed out of it.
Until now.

Disagree with your assessment. Looking at page 1, none of the responses were rude UNTIL original poster came back scolding a few of us trying to give info and/or ask for more info. THAT response from OP opened the flood gates.

I even took time to google Sidewinder Rd rv dump and another poster looked at it on Google Maps before being being scolded with "I give up you guys are too much.no wonder people leave and don't come back"

No one was scolded for asking for more info- they were scolded for being rather rude in their responses and considering this IS an RV Forum with people that , I assume know what an RV Dump is, it really isn't that much a stretch to figger out.

The question was pretty simple:
Topic: Sidewinder road rv dump question

Let's start withe the Topic- It mentions a road and a RV Dump- doesn't take a genius to figger out the OP wanted to know about a dump station on Sidewinder road. (yes, lots of Sidewinder roads out there so a city or state would have been helpful.)

Then the question:
is it big enough to fit a 37 foot motorhome with a 24' cargo trailer behind it?

the "it" refers to the Rv Dump station on Sidewinder road.

BAM! Is the Dump station on Sidewinder road big enough to fit a 37' motorhome towing a 24' cargo trailer

Granted, this could have been stated by the OP but good god the responses from some people are just asinine.

A sidewinder crawls with a unique sideways locomotion, kinda like a sideways serpentine action.
I suppose there's certain roads you would be correct in naming "Sidewinder", in which case you could do a Google satellite-map search and locate such a road....?? That is, if you knew where to start looking......

I want to commend you SussieQ for not going away and staying in the fray. There are many people that troll this forum looking for an opportunity to demonstrate their superior knowledge and intellect but who simply come across as small minded. If I read a topic and have nothing positive to add, I move on. Of the topics that I have posted here, the one that got the most replies was not because of the topic, but because I referred to the "I80 interstate" as "the 80 interstate" over the Sierra's. I like sarcasm as much as the next person, but why not save it for those posts that are made to provide the opportunity to use it appropriately.

The answer to your question is YES! I see big rigs towing atv trailers, coming from the dunes, in there all the time. It is just east of pilot knob rv park. I am surprised that all the old farts that are near death & don't know anything about this subject have the energy to write in. If you can't help - shut up!!

exactly! thanks for the laugh and for getting it lol (said a little rough, but it conveys my thoughts exactly lol

I see threads all the time that I don't know anything about the subject, or I don't know where they're talking about...I simply go on to something else.

Note that Waldo couldn't give you an answer until 3 pages of posts were produced trying to narrow down the situation.

Clarity can be very beneficial from time to time. I had an experience with a search and rescue on the west coast of BC once where the person calling the mayday gave a very brief description of his location. After searching for several hours I thought something was strange about his sighting and I found him 10 miles away from where he described.

As for the old fart quote, maybe some of us are but we have survived quite well so far and probably through things you can even begin to imagine.

Maybe one day you will need assistance, give a description of your problem and we can all play "Where's Waldo" for real.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
