This guy dropped this off last week and I couldn't get a picture. Well today I was able to. Overheard him saying he only takes it to the lakes with it, but that is over an hour away at about 50 miles. Can't imagine launching it! I believe it is about a 26-28ft deck boat with a 350 I/O. Says any farther and he borrows a truck.

Here ya go!!!!

If you don't see anything wrong with that picture, that says a lot...

He is likely closer to being within his ratings than many of the people who tow big TT with 150/1500 trucks.

Speaking of which. Over the weekend, I saw next to my campsite, a Keystone Sprinter 5th with a GVWR around 14k. the TV was a RAM 1500 longhorn HEMI. Need I say more ?

I am not saying I would do it, but he is probably around 6500 pounds with boat and trailer. And I thought that the Acura was rated to tow around 6500 pounds.

In regard to the ramp, I bet he has more trouble controlling the launch than the retrieve. AWD will help him get up the ramp, but that amount of weight will almost certainly slide him down the ramp. My 6500 pound surf boat sometimes does that when I launch with my Yukon XL.

That was the best thing about when we had our boat. watching everyone at the end of the day trying to get their boats out! especially the guy with the first gen Plymouth Voyager trying to pull out his boat immediately after he launched it without the drain plug installed!!!! that van couldn't pull it out loaded with water to save its life. And he had already went and parked the van and trailer in the paring area. By the time he got back water was about a foot below the insides of the boat!

Gotta love boaters.....they are their own breed!

This reminds me of my brother Mike. He had a lot of vehicles, but for some reason he grabbed his Subaru Brat one day to hook onto his jet boat and take it down to the Nenana River in Nenana to launch it.

He got it launched OK, but when he went to pull it out of the river, the current caught ahold of everything and pulled the Subaru backwards down the dirt bank into the river. It sunk the Subaru, but at least the current didn't take it down river into the Tanana. He had to go home to get his 1-Ton to pull it out of the river and pull everything home.

Dumb little brother......
