Had to go check prices today...looked at a new SR5 Tundra with Crewmax and the towing package with brake controller... Decent truck...power everything...XM...touch screen, back up camera, comfortable cloth seats...offered it to me for 35k... Comfortable common man truck...something I appreciate. no way I am doubling the price for fancy stitches.
Thanks!

Looked at a '16 Tundra Double Cab with 6 1/2 ft. bed, 5.7 engine, 4.30 rear axle, 6 speed and tow package. Only 'bells & whistles' were the integrated brake controller and rear view camera for $36400. Not bad in the grand scheme of things, but the DW wasn't impressed :B I'm still struggling with the idea of a 'sealed' transmission, no dipstick, no fluid maintenance according to the salesman. REALLY ??? :h And you tow with it???? :E Not at all comfortable with that concept......
I purchased a 2016 tundra and I too was concerned about no dipstick, a lot of manufactures are going that route. I searched and searched and couldn't find and real creditable problems with the transmissions in the tundras. FWIW Mine is a 2016 double cab sr5 with the sr5 upgrade package 4x4 with spray in bed liner and 38 gal tank for 37000 otd

That's what I thought before having one....now I can tell you there is nothing better than having warm hands on a cold day.
Hate to admit it but I agree!

Today, I spied a brand new Ford F-150 Eco Boost 4 door for sale at Costco. The MSRP was $56,000. WOW! I didn't realize the costs had risen that much since I shopped in 2010. I can picture myself in my Mexican built Ram for many, many more years. I had no idea that aluminuium/alunimium/ er, beer can bodies cost so much.
O.K. I'm going to stand aside so I don't get injured by Ford owners.
Hey that "EGO BOOST" label does not come free! If you step up to a HD Ford with Diesel be aware the engine is Made in MEXICO.
*Correction, Assembled in Mexico. Just like the Ram isn't made in Mexico, it is assembled in Mexico.
I would like some proof of that since Fish has never corrected me when I say the engine is Made in Mexico. It really does not matter is just a truth in posting that I like to throw back at the Fish.
