No and No. There is just too much stuff that goes wrong even when you know what you are doing. Remember all your rookie mistakes? Pick the worst, roll the dice and expect the worst. Might loan them a tent or sleeping bag.

No, and no.
And, I would never ask a friend or family member to use theirs. Way too many things can happen, and I would never want the " responsibility " if something did happen.
Friends, family, and money are a very bad mix.

I keep a spare TT at my seasonal site for friends and family to use.

These are the same friends that flew 1400 miles on their dime to help me pour concrete and build fence at the seasonal site.

Maybe my Brother. He's pretty savvy about stuff. Otherwise, not only no, but heck no!

Yes, to my oldest DD and her then husband. NO, Never again to anyone. They brought it back with parts hanging off the chassis and berated me for loaning them a dangerous vehicle. NO ONE will ever get to use an RV that has my name on the title again.

I love each and every one of you!!

Before we bought ours, I told hubby that there is no way anyone (adult kids) would be allowed to borrow ours ... and he looked at me like I had three heads.

Hi,

Yes, with the clear understanding that any damage would be paid for by them.

No.

But I did let my in-laws use my Dutchmen for a week. I towed the camper to the campground, set it up, and they used it for a week. I then returned and closed everything up and towed it back home. This is (was) the only one-time exception.

The reason I felt comfortable about this is because my mother-in-law raised her family (my wife and her brothers) camping. The owned MH, TT, Truck Campers, tents, and traveled extensively. So she knew what she was doing. It worked out pretty good, because the next summer they ended up buying a TT for themselves!

I offered to do the same thing for my son and his finance if they got married they could use it for a honeymoon suite. But when they eloped in Las Vegas, well, I was so "mad" there was no way on planet earth I'd let them ever use it! Funny though ... they are divorced now! Go figure! But the son is coming with us over Christmas week for our winter Christmas pilgrimage to Florida this year.

But anyone else ... no and no! Absolutely not! They can buy their own, or rent one. I'm not footing the bill for someone else destroying my property. And face it, no matter how much they promise to take care of your property, they STILL do not have any investment in YOUR camper, and will never truly respect it!

Years ago, we loaned our pop-up to SIL's parents once for two weeks, I spent several long days cleaning up the mess.
