An excellent meal is:

A small loaf of the best bread you know.
Some lobster bisque from Costco's.
Two lobster tails from the fish market.
A bottle of Beringers White Zinfindel.

Barely cook the lobster tails, remove the meat and cut it into chunks.
Add lobster chunks to the hot bisque.
Warm bread hot enough for butter to spread and melt....

You can figure out the rest.....

Also hard to beat... parked facing the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia. Lobster pot on the firepit filled with salt water from the bay. Adding the fresh lobsters to the boiling water - Caeser salad on the side with a couple of bottles of Korbel Champagne ... two chairs separated by a small table and facing the setting sun and the bay. Truly a casually elegant meal.

A six pack and a nickel bag of peanuts. The perfect 7 course meal. 🙂

On most occasions, a charcoal grilled burger with baked potato is hard to beat. However, my most memorable was at Hunting Island. We had our #1 spot which was not 100' from the ocean. We went to the local shrimp dock, picked up 10 pounds of shrimp right from the boat and had a shrimp boil watching the waves and seagulls. Man that was the perfect night! Hundreds of restaurants will be faded memories, but I'll remember that night forever.

X-2

I did that one evening at Duck, North Carolina with the Wife and family. Excellent food and friends make for a memorable experience.

In the course of RVing, Herself and I like to stop at a wayside and appreciate the view for awhile.

Of the ones posted so far,This might get my vote, except for your place to get the Bisque, I mean Costco's, really? :h

Yes, but not from their food court. The brand is Kirkland Signature, found in the frozen food section. You'll be surprised.
Perhaps you're right, I may have to allow myself to be surprised, but I find it hard to believe that it'll be better than the bisque anywhere in Bar Harbor.

Well, I guess everybody has their favorites. I don't care for lobster.... really no taste, to me. It's the butter that you taste. And, I don't use butter.

A good petit filet mignon (with A-1 sauce), baked potato w/sour cream, a good vegetable (corn, green beans, zucchini, etc.).

Well, after you have the two selections posted above, add a nice steak grilled to medium rare with a pile of sauted onions, a fresh salad, and a cold beer....Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold or Conways Irish Ale! Follow that with fresh coffee and apple, blueberry, or any other great pie!

OK! This gets my vote although you can leave off the dessert.
