Remember when the 1989 Dodge Cummins with 3 speed trans and a whopping 160 Hp/400ft/lbs was the cats meow?
Right??
But a couple turns of the fuel screw and some 3k springs would wipe the sleep out of its eyes!
And destroy the transmissionโฆ.

Also apparently an upgraded rear diff to handle the power, and upgrades to the Allison branded transmission as well.
Good to hear from ya'.
Interesting. Means maybe higher axle ratings = more money payloads. Sounds like GM is getting serious in the commercial LDT market. They have taken the back seat to the Ram and Ford SD for years now in that market. I know'22 GM 3500 drw move up to 10500 rawr has made a bit of "about time" comments from GM fans on those type of websites.
They have try to do something, as they getting their behind kicked in the sales arena. Ugly front end and fake Allison may not be helping them. Real Allison's sold the product for many years.
