I guess it will come down what kinda deal I can strike next year. It appears on the net that the lower trim models ( tradesman and XL - what i'm interested in anyway) on the RAM and Ford are not too far off in price with maybe a 4-5% diff in premium for the ford.

From what I have read Fords 6.7 seems to be a very good engine. It had a few bumps at first but they quickly fixed them had it looks like they have yet another great Engine in their stable.
Unless you are dead set on the Ford I would take the other to out for a test run too. The fourth gen Ram and GM twins are just as nice as the Fords IMO. Not sure when the new D-Max is do out but it is getting a bit out dated compaired to the 6.7's in the Ford and Ram.

From what I have heard Ford, has hit a Home Run with this very " Internationally sourced " engine.
I guess you could say it's Internationally Made as in Mexico.

It's even simpler than that. I like exactly what my wife tells me to like. Sure saves a lot of trouble!
It's much easier to adjust to a different badge on the grill than it is to sleeping on the couch!

Ram owner here. And not a naysayer, ahem. If you want a Ford, for whatever reason, even just for a change of pace, go get one and enjoy it. They're good trucks. So are the Chevys. So are the Rams. Buy any of them with no fear. Most importantly, buy the one you like the best. If that's a Ford, congrats! You'll likely be very happy with it!
You left out the part about ones DW getting a 51% and you a 49% saying on which one to buy.
Happy wife, happy trails!
