Delaware Water Gap Camping

MY wife and I would like to spend a couple of nights in mid-August in the Delaware Water Gap area of PA and NJ. We have a 31 ft. Class C w/toad and 2 pets. We would like suggestions on where to stay based on your personal experience. While full hook-ups are preferred, she considers 30A power a necessity.

Thanks,

Bill

Camp Taylor CG, real camping and beautiful area, clicky

Sorry I posted late.

Have you stayed there? Looks like no sewer sites - only electric and water, and quite a few seasonal sites. No pool either - just lake.

Ihave been there several times and consider the owners friends. They offer a pump out service right at your site. The CG is beautiful and large. The CG has miles of trails and borders the Delaware Water Gap Nat. Recreation Area. If you are in need of a pool then there is Triple Brook CG clickey
Full timing it since July 2012

From what I remember, Camp Taylor has no hook-ups and there is def not a pool. Its pretty and about as woodsy as NJ camping gets. The best part is the Lakota Wolf Preserve which is on the grounds of Camp Taylor.

It sounds like it will be Mt Vista or Dingmans depending on their availability.

Thanks

Dingman's Ferry is a nice CG - stayed there late this spring - plenty of room for a 31' rig, and pet friendly. W/E hookups and dump station - concession-run but honors federal discount passes. ST

Driftstone on the Delaware is great!!! We stayed there last year and loved. RIght on the Delaware River, well-run, nice pools! Tubing, fishing, canoeing right from their dock. We blogged about our stay there last year. If you click on the blog and stroll down the post is called "Confessions of a New Jersey Camper."

There is a photo and more info. It is on the PA side.

Vista will likely be quieter than Otter. Both are nice, just depends upon what you prefer. Otter has a indoor pool and hot tubs, outdoor pool w/kiddie water area. Ice cream, fire truck ride, sand beach, lake and so on.

There are some places on the Jersey side too, look them up and check the reviews. Plenty of options in the area.

If you can get by with NO hook ups and NO dump station for a couple days Worthing State Forest has a real nice CG on the banks of the Delaware. But it might be a non-option for you.

Not far from Del Water Gap,
Mountain Vista
Otter Lake
Pocono/ Delaware Water Gap KOA

Just to name a few.
Vista is very shaded. Sites are ok sized, some smaller than others.
Otter Lake is a top choice. Tons to do, huge sites.
