Inverter question

After putting in a set of new 6v batteries hooked in series my inverter started to hum or buzz. Anyone have an idea what would cause this? Batteries were hooked up exactly like the old set. Thank you

Kwiki step lubricant

Wondering what is the best lube for the step mechanism? Have heard not to use something that will attract dirt etc like silicone and a graphite based lube was suggested. What is recommended by other RVr's?
