Looking for Tub/Shower Curtain Ideas

We have a small tub/shower in out Keystone Premier 19fbpr. The shower curtain really sucks. I am looking at upgrading to a folding or retractable trac door? Has anyone upgraded their curtain.

I would also be interested if you found someway to make the existing shower curtain a little more effective to keep the water inside the shower.

I don't know if this would work or not but maybe you can use a folding plastic room divider. on a metal tub door track with a magnet or hook to hold it shut.

X2, the Extend A Shower was one of the best mods we ever did on our old trailer. Makes a nice rod to hang towels on too!

I used some shower curtain clips similar to these to hold the shower curtain against the wall to keep water from splashing past the curtain and onto the floor.

The back wall of the trailer is also the back wall for the shower. The vanity is also against the back wall of the trailer and there is a short wall between the shower and vanity. So no water was getting out there. The shower head sprays towards the back wall and the shower faucet is on the front shower wall. The problem was water splashing off me and going between the front wall and the curtain and onto the floor. I added 3 of the shower curtain clips to the front shower wall. One about 12 inches above the tub rim, one about shoulder height and the other in the middle between them.

Check out this thread

I have the rod setup pictured above with the cute girl. Its OK, but I'm planning on making this mod over the winter.

Not the exact same trailer, but we have a very small shower and a very large, splashy son.

We did the "wings" shower guards. Caulked them into both sides. Then a regular shower liner and curtain tucked into the wings.

We're splash free now.

We bought our wings at Home Depot.

I think something like that in a smaller scale would solve the problem...

Would something like this work?
Splash guard
This is just an example, I know other stores carry them as well - Walmart, Home Depot, etc.

Different RV but I ran a bead of silicone caulk in the corners to create a dam preventing water running on the floor.

It's a 2016 model small tub/shower. There is no contour in the tub that would prevent water from just running along the top edge of the tub. I am thinking now that the water collected on the top of the tub and then ran around the edge till it dropped off in the right hand corner which was the lowest point.

For now I will use Velcro to keep the shower curtain closer to the surround and come up with a way to block water from dripping off the edge of the tub like. Also when leveling trailer do it in a way the water will run the other way...

We have this in our trailer. It works awesome. We also use a spring loaded, adjustable curtain rod that we place at about waist level to hold the curtain out from the tub and also secure it to the walls. Nice and roomy with no water escaping.

What year is your Premier? We have a later 2013 and we love our shower curtain. It is cloth rather than plastic so it does not stick to you and it is not as cold as plastic. It keeps the water in fine as long as you don't point the sprayer directly at it. In 3 years, have never had water outside the tub. I am a big guy so having any type of solid door would make the shower too tight for me.

Get a shower curtain liner. Its basically a shower curtain without the decorations. Attach it to same rings as the shower curtain. The shower curtain stays on the outside of the tub and the liner stays on the inside. I don't know the physics, but when the shower is on, the air pressure inside the tub is lower than the pressure outside the tub, so the single curtain gets pulled toward the stream of water - and you. Try it. You don't even have to be in the shower to test it.

For previous posts search this Forum for `shower curtain' then possibly search the results for `folding' or `door'.
