How to stop neighboring campers from

This may sound silly, but I am currently camping and one neighbor cuts across my site while he is going and coming from his boat.

It is not that he is cutting through BUT when he does, he is within 2 feet of my camper door and within 4 feet of us sitting there talking.

I struck up a conversation with him and during this conversation asked if he would mind crossing the campsite a little further back from our camper. At that point he stormed off and said kiss my a..

Anybody have a simialr experience and if so were you able to resolve it?

When I hear these types of stories, I try and picture the layout and configuration of the park. Is it an RV park where many of the residents are full time, or is it a spacious campground full of people fishing and having fun.

This is a spacious campground and there is 50 or 60 feet between my camper and the water. There is no need to walk 1 foot behind my camper and into my conversations.

I did not tell him he could not walk behind my camper. I simply asked that he pass a little farther away from my door.

I am sorry but there simply is NO EXCUSE for cutting through someone elses campsite Period.

And all of the Passive Aggressive suggestions to Hang Laundry or similar things are just not the way to handle this.

The only way someone like this will get the message is direct confrontation in a civil but firm manner. And if he starts to blow up at you again...just say "allright lets you and I go to the office right now and settle this issue with the management"....

My bet is he will stop at that point.

When we bring them, we place our bicycles strategically when necessary to block people. Coolers, picnic table and careful parking of truck also get used.

As to fishing, fish and game laws and regulations vary from state to state, and sometimes from county to county within states. If you don't know the actual law / regulation of wherever things are occurring, kind of counter productive to argue about it.

Glad your problem is handled.

I once had a neighbor couple play cornhole, or butt hole, or whatever it's called under mine. I was so shocked at the lack of consideration it took me awhile to figure out how I was going to handle it.

Huh? that is over the top ๐Ÿ™‚

I would love to know your reponse and how it came out in the end.

To me an awning space is part of your camper living space. To me that is like inviting yourself inside the rv ๐Ÿ™‚

just curious on the outcome on that one.

When someone continually does that, I just offer them a cold beer and ask if they are interested in gay animal porn. They seem to steer clear and never make eye contact with me again.

What will you do if he says yes and offers to share his collection?

I know I'm late to the party on this, but I've found that setting an object like a portable picnic table with a tether to the RV itself (and flags/lights on the tether) tends to dissuade people from walking too closely. Another thing that works is a storage tent.

Poaching is illegally taking... There is nothing saying from the OP that they are taking illegally. 50 bream, 30 crappie a day x 7 days = a lot of fish, but not illegal.....

On Fish limits in Tn we now have limits in everything including Bream or Sun Fish,Blue Gills or whatever they are called in different parts of the Country.
There are so many of them they are now stunting.
I have caught over one hundred at a time and gave them to elderly clients.
Went back to the same weed bed and caught as many and more every time.
Standing in the water barelegged they swarm your legs pulling out the hairs.
That is why I have such pretty legs now.
Seems social justice strict enforcement type has taken over TWRA.

This is in Georgia and not another state....the fish is in a freezer, will take them at least a day to be frozen good. The game warden is not going to care about what is frozen in a freezer. This isn't the guy with a string of fresh fish. And who really cares how many fish he has. I though this was about him crossing through a campsite.

In Ontario Whats in your freezer counts towards your possession limit. This guy sounds so sketchy.
It's not a possession limit. It's a daily limit on how much you can take, per day. Who cares what's in your freezer? No one is going to check your freezer. You can get so many deer tags a year. That means you can take that many deer a year. Doesn't mean that is all that can be in your freezer or jerky jar.
Game Warden can make that decision based on local regulations.
Never know if you don't call.

I would have called the game warden. That is too many fish in his possession. Solve the problem by getting his stuff impounded.

How is it too much in his possession? Possession has nothing to do with it. How much he takes per day does. If he's there a week and the creel limit is 50 bream a day, he could easily have 350 bream in his freezer.

Many states have a possession limit as well.

Yep. In Colorado the limits can change as you go around a bend in the river. And you had better be ready to prove that those 5 fish on dry ice in your cooler were caught on different days, AND that they are within legal length and don't exceed possession limit.

I pretty much gave up on trout fishing here in my home state because the size and possession limits got so complicated that it just wasn't worth it to me. It got to where it took several days of fishing to finally land one fish that was legal to keep. Catch and release is fine, but I actually like to eat SOME of my catch, and that was increasingly difficult to accomplish. Then too, a lot of prime trout rivers were designated catch and release, single barbless hooks only.

I will still fish for some warm water species out here on the plains.

So what is a gsd?

SORRY....GSD equals German Shepherd Dog.

Other breeds work just as well. Even those little ankle biting, yappers.

I was going to post a photo, but rvnetphotoposting gets me:

So I have no idea how to post a photo.

Never have that problem, likely something to do with the 12' lead connected to the grab handle my Jack Russell is usually on.......
