Air bags

What exactly do air bags do? I do not have a problem with tongue weight, GVWR, nor GCWR. What I do have is a stiff ride and a wife with a VERY bad back (2 failed back surgeries). Will air bags smooth the ride out?

Money and costs.

I guess, for a variety of reasons, finally, in our 70's and after 40+ years of RVing in various forms, we seem to have a little more spendable cash. For example, we decided we wanted a bedroom window awning for our 30 ft. Class C and we felt free to...

Hey All,We have a king size sleep number bed in our 2008 Holiday Rambler Navigator. I measured the mattress and it was 72" X 80". Regular king sized sheets are 78" X 80" so they are very large and loose, which I really don't like. Can anyone share...

Rattlesnakes can climb trees? (long)

On to the tree climbing part in a bit. But first the story. And I realize you folks from snake country will give this story a yawn and a snort. But here goes, last week DW, 10 year old GD, my Lab, and myself. Are walking the trails at Hovenweep nati...

Anti-rattle device for hitch

I just got a CW ad today and one of the sale items is a Roadmaster anti rattle device to keep the draw bar tight in the receiver. It's kind of a fancy U-bolt. Doing some research online there are several manufacturers and designs from simple to ela...

Good read for every camper.

Cabelas put out a good article on their website about camping etiquette today. I wish more people would read this and listen to its advice. I hate it when people cut though my site uninvited and use it as their personal walkway.

Landing Gear Support

In May, we're going to a state park we enjoy. The site I have reserved has a slight slope downward from the camper toward the front. In other words, I'll have to extend the landing gear a lot to get the front level. I suspect it won't be a problem bu...

RV Gelcoat fix?

I was cleaning and waxing our 38" Heartland Bighorn after a long Illness with a good wax and cleaner. The front half looks great and the end cap, but when I got to the back the wax and cleaner left the finish looking like the back had only a thin coa...

Vehicle Wrap

I, like a lot of other folks have a 5th wheel that has fading on the front cap. I was seeing buses, trucks and cars with wraps on them and was wondering if a wrap of some type at the top of my cap would be cost effective in lieu of painting???

Reese Sidewinder Noise

We put a Sidewinder on our 33 ft. fifth wheel and when turning it makes a horrible screechy noise. Any thoughts? Thank you. Betsy.
